About Me

I am Hengest Thorsson.

I live in South East London, UK with my wife and 3 sons.

I am an Odinist and a Professed Member of the Odinic Rite, the leading international Odinist organisation. I am the Internet Information Officer of the OR and have been since 2002. My role involves all aspects of the OR’s online presence from the OR web sites to dealing with general enquiries and advising the OR Court of Gothar.

The OR has been in existence since 1973 and is the longest running, continually active Odinist group in the world. The OR has members in many countries and runs many projects including Guardians (Environmental work), Acorn Hollow (an educational section), Prison Affairs Bureau (fighting for equal rights for Odinist inmates), OR Fyrd (martial arts, self defence and fitness, including registered fight teams), OR Youth (an outreach program for young Odinists), and lots more.

I am a co-owner and administrator of Odinist.net, the leading forum for Folkish Odinists, which I run with some very close friends. Some of us have been running Odinist forums for 5 years now, having previously run another forum which was hijacked by the server owner. We moved on and set up Odinist.net and it has been a very successful site with contributions from some excellent people…..and some retards!

Currently one of my biggest interests is growing vegetables on my allotment. If you are not from the UK, an allotment is a small plot of land which your rent from the local council for the purpose of growing your own food.
